I had 5 retinal detachments affecting both eyes over 9 months. I was told I wouldn’t read beyond the third line of a sight chart. I got my driving license back in April 2016, 2.5 years after the second eye detached and tore for the 1/3 times. Mr. Habal carried out most of my operations and I believe the amazing eyesight I have now is due mainly to his ability as a surgeon and his post-op care and advice.
